Enshu, established by its founder Satomi Dosseur, and Lion Spirit Media first collaborated on the sake sommelier and training specialist’s first website in 2014. And we’ve partnered together ever since on copywriting, content marketing and event marketing.

Holding successful courses and tasting events for sake enthusiasts, amateurs, professionals and wine sommeliers, the brand’s courses provide entry into a new and exciting world of Japanese sake and culture.

Enshu is the only company authorised by the leading authority in this field, the Sake Service Institute (SSI), to conduct its course in sake tasting on their behalf in the UK.

Wearing So Many Hats

Starting a business when the language necessary to promote it is not your native tongue is a challenge that Enshu recalls vividly. Added to that were the pressures and sheer to-do lists needed to build the business from the foundations up, including the essential legal requirements, implementation of successful marketing campaigns and the development of sales strategies. This scenario can quickly remove the original desire to share your passion with others.

So for its rebrand in 2018, Enshu and Lion Spirit Media teamed up again. We took the promotional reins of Enshu temporarily, to build and populate a new website with fresh and appropriate content that would appeal to its ideal customers.

The website needed to clearly demonstrate Enshu’s expertise and showcase the brand’s considerable credentials in the specialist world of sake. It also needed to ensure the customer journey when booking a course was easy and that effective call to actions were in place to increase bookings.

Alongside the website project, a promotional event was organised to build brand awareness and reputation, and demonstrate Enshu’s sake expertise further.

Lion Spirit Media also worked with Satomi to provide a supportive ear and offer advice when constructing a long-term, robust business and advertising plan that would enable Enshu to grow at a manageable rate that would be profitable but not overwhelm.
